Henry Schwartz, Esq., born and raised in New York, attended Brown University where he majored in English Literature and graduated with Bachelor of Arts in 1987. He received his legal education at New York University School Of Law graduating with his Juris Doctorate in 1990. After graduation, Mr. Schwartz became associated with the defense firm founded by Anthony Schiavetti. For the next five years he defended physicians in complex medical malpractice litigation. Thereafter, Henry Schwartz left the defense field briefly so that he could learn the skills of a prosecutor. While associated with the Law Offices Of Sybil Shainwald, Esq., Mr. Schwartz prosecuted pharmaceutical and medical malpractice cases on behalf the grievously injured. During this same period of time, Mr. Schwartz founded The Law Offices Of Henry Schwartz, Esq., which has grown in reputation. Since its founding in 1995, The Law Offices Of Henry Schwartz, Esq. has been firmly committed to its clients and their just cause whether plaintiff or defendant. Conflicts of interest were avoided by placing the Client first, allowing Mr. Schwartz to simultaneously prosecute cases on behalf of select grievously injured plaintiffs, while nevertheless remaining committed to insurance defense on behalf of hundreds of individual insured’s based upon contracts with highly regarded insurance carriers including Empire Insurance Group, All City Insurance Group, American Transit, Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers, AFPD, among others.
John Patrick Anderson Esq
John Patrick Anderson is presently Managing Attorney at the Law Offices of Henry Schwartz, where he handles all aspects of litigation management from pleading stage through trial. Mr. Anderson has an exceptional track record in obtaining early dismissal on procedural grounds and summary judgment on the merits of an action. He is committed to providing each client the litigation services that best serve their individual needs.
John Patrick Anderson is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, and received his J.D. in 2009. Mr. Anderson is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New York State, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Anderson has obtained a B.M. in Music Composition from Rice University in 2002, and a M.M. in Music Composition at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in 2005. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
Cecily F. Goodrich, Esq
Cecily F. Goodrich, Esq. was born and raised in New York, and attended Wellesley College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies and a Minor in Psychology in 2002. She was awarded a Fulbright Grant upon graduation and spent the following year researching and teaching in Göttingen, Germany. Cecily Goodrich initially went into publishing working for OxfordUniversity Press in Oxford England and in New York where she negotiated contracts for the book publisher. While working on intellectual property rights, Ms. Goodrich became engrossed in the legal principles underpinning her job duties, and determined to pursue a career in law. She attended Brooklyn Law School where she was appointed an Associate Managing Editor of Brooklyn Journal of International Law. She continued her international legal studies in Hamburg, Germany, and returned to Brooklyn Law School where she received a Juris Doctorate, and thereafter her law license. Ms. Goodrich was hired by the Law Offices of Henry Schwartz, Esq. as Junior Associate, however, her skills as a litigator have developed rapidly, enabling Ms. Goodrich to handle all aspects of daily file management from pleading to trial. Cecily F. Goodrich, Esq., provides our clients with diverse legal perspectives inured from international training.
Sam A. Cohen, Esq
Sam A. Cohen, Esq. attended Brooklyn Law School on a Dean’s Fellow Scholarship and graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2016. Previously, Mr. Cohen attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Science and Philosophy in 2012. While in law school, Mr. Cohen completed a clinical internship at the Children’s Law Center, Bronx and Brooklyn offices. Throughout law school, Mr. Cohen has worked at the Law Offices of Henry Schwartz, Esq. and tailored his education to areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability and New York State civil practice. Mr. Cohen is currently admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the New York City Bar Association. Since working for the Law Offices of Henry Schwartz, Esq., Mr. Cohen focuses his practice on medical and dental malpractice defense litigation, as well as personal injury, automotive accident and premise liability litigation. Mr. Cohen is committed to providing diligent and personalized legal representation to his clients in all aspects of litigation, from case inception to trial preparation.
